Grandparents-to-be course
A 1 hour course for new grandparents who will be caring for their grandchild to refresh and update themselves around caring for a newborn. We’re not here to teach you how to suck eggs, we promise but we will give you an update on what’s changed since you had your own children, allowing you to support your child and their partner and avoid any conflict around outdated baby care practices.
- Feeding – Supporting the decision to breastfeed and safe bottle feeding.
- Crying – Coping with crying, responsive caring.
- Safe sleeping – New guidance
- Car seat safety – The law and safe use of a car seat
- How you can support new parents – Emotionally and practically
- Basic First aid – Choking, bleeding, when to seek help.
- Q&A – signposting to support groups
Cost – 1 hr course £69 per 2 grandparents – Advanced booking only
